Memorabilia 2025

Platforms that encourage emerging designers are vital to the growth of India’s creative ecosystem. They offer students and young professionals an opportunity to showcase their ideas, experiment with new perspectives, and gain confidence as they prepare to enter the industry.

Memorabilia 2025, organised by the New Delhi YMCA, embraced the theme ‘180°’, symbolising a shift in outlook and fresh ways of thinking. The exhibition brought together imaginative work from young interior and fashion designers, reflecting originality, innovation, and a fearless approach to creativity. Thoughtfully curated and well attended, the event celebrated the energy and potential of the next generation of design professionals.

The program featured Ms. Lipika Sud, President of the Guild of Designers & Artists, as Guest of Honour, who addressed the students and shared practical insights beyond traditional design education. She emphasised three key principles essential for long-term success in the profession—consistency and discipline, the importance of people and communication skills, and the need to remain curious and adaptable in a rapidly changing world shaped by technology, AI, sustainability, and new materials.

The event served as an encouraging platform for young talent to present their work, interact with industry professionals, and gain valuable exposure. Initiatives such as Memorabilia play a significant role in nurturing creativity and strengthening the bridge between design education and professional practice.
