The Guild of Designers & Artists (GDA) actively supports platforms that promote learning, leadership, and meaningful professional exchange. Aligned with this vision, President Ms. Lipika Sud of The GDA participated in the GlobalSpin Innovation Summit as a panelist for the International Women’s Day celebrations.
The highlight of the event was the panel discussion titled “Celebrating Women Impact Makers,” which brought together accomplished women leaders from diverse fields to share their journeys, insights, and perspectives on entrepreneurship, innovation, and social impact.
The session was moderated by Ms. Dolly Bhasin, Ambassador, Google’s Women Tech Makers, and chaired by Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India. The panel included distinguished professionals such as Ms. Pallavi Upadhyaya, Ms. Ranjana Sirohi, and Ms. Shivani Mishra, making it a truly enriching and multi-dimensional conversation.
During the discussion, Ms. Sud shared her entrepreneurial journey speaking about the experience of building a design practice, continuously evolving as a professional, and adapting to new technologies and changing business environments. She emphasised how important it is for professionals today to remain open to learning and reinvention in order to stay relevant and impactful.
At the same time, she highlighted a crucial message that while technology is transforming industries, it is equally important to remain connected to India’s rich cultural heritage. She spoke about how technology can be used as a powerful tool to promote traditional arts and crafts, create greater awareness, and take India’s creative legacy to the global stage.
The GlobalSpin Conclave brought together innovators, investors, policymakers, and experts from technology, sustainability, academia, and MSME sectors. It served as an excellent platform for cross-industry dialogue on advancements in technology, sustainable business practices, and opportunities for global collaboration.
Events like these strongly reflect the values upheld by the Guild of Designers & Artists encouraging knowledge sharing, leadership development, and collaboration across professions. By participating in such meaningful forums, GDA continues to support initiatives that empower creative and entrepreneurial communities.
